My sister, Mary Jane Drinkwater of Milton, passed away recently
and I want to thank the Alfred Thomas Funeral very much for their
care in arranging her wake and burial.

At this difficult time, their whole staff was thoughtful, kind, and
extremely considerate of the family throughout the planning process.
This was the first time we needed to organize a funeral and Roger
and Jackie supported us greatly by listening to our questions, offering
suggestions, and helping us decide how best to honor and remember
my sister. Roger made a wonderful video of my sister’s days for the
wake from family photos and Jackie contributed a lovely program for
the Mass and Burial.

My sister’s passing was recognized with dignity, grace, and great
attention to detail by very competent and caring professionals. We
are very grateful to the whole staff at the Alfred Thomas Funeral
Home.

Unfortunately I've had too many funerals in the past few years. I've been to several of the local funeral homes. These folks were by far the best. Brian's attention to detail, how patient and kind he was cannot go unnoticed. He handled everything with ease, dignity and respect! Jackie a training funeral director did such an amazing job on making my brother in law who was so sickly prior to his passing, she made him look twenty years younger. I honestly cannot say enough of the unbelievable job they did with our arrangements. The attention Brian gave us... handling every request, timely, no questions asked and with grace, truly showed he us he is consummate professional! It is an absolute relief knowing they'll be doing our other families services. Writing this review a month out and coming through such a difficult time I now realize how the staff at Alfred Thomas helped relieve a lot of stress during such a difficult time. We are forever grateful!

I cannot begin thank the owners/family of the Alfred D Thomas Funeral home. My father was buried out of this funeral home 38 years ago. He personally knew Alfred Thomas. Brian, Alexander and Roger have truly carried on the tradition of their Uncle/Great Uncle. I cannot thank them enough for my Mother’s recent funeral. She looked absolutely beautiful. The funeral mass procession and burial was beautiful. They were very caring and compassionate.

You, Alex are an extraordinary human who seems to go about dealing with a difficult time with such grace. I wanted to take a moment and say thank you for the care, support, and compassion shown by Alex and everyone at the Alfred Thomas Funeral Home. Our mother Rosetta will be dearly missed and Alex and his staff handled everything in such a kind and professional manner that I wanted to let you know how much my family truly appreciated everything you did for us during such a difficult time. Recently my family and I weathered the loss of my beloved brother Jeremiah. It was an overwhelmingly sad time for our Mother, Jeremiah’s three sons, his siblings, and many loved ones and friends. During this dark time, we were led and supported by the professional and compassionate staff at the Alfred D Thomas Funeral Home in Milton.

This highly skilled team offer all the services that one would expect, in order to provide solace and comfort to a grieving family in a most difficult time, in a lovely, clean, open and comfortable setting.

More importantly, though, they went above and beyond to help our entire family through an unexpected loss.

Alexander Thomas initially met to plan and guide us through the overall process, and to begin collecting details about my brother and his life.

There are a myriad of parts to this process, and the many staff at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home work beautifully together, each performing their job with skill, pride and unfailing kindness. There seemed to always be someone available from early morning to late at night.

Jane is welcoming, smart, and kind, and provided an attention to detail that is rarely seen. She helped us with the writing of the obituary and worked on it until we all felt it was just right. She was always available to listen to all of our family’s needs, helping wherever she could. She even made home deliveries and pick ups when needed.

Leah patiently made change after change to the mass booklet until it seemed perfect.

Pat was always welcoming and quietly supportive. She patiently made updates on the prayer card, when we repeatedly changed our minds about what we wanted, or when we wanted something altered .

Brian oversaw the wake and funeral, making sure that all went smoothly, and when the rain poured from the heavens on the day of the funeral, a multitude of umbrellas magically appeared, keeping the mourners dry, as we sang from the front steps of the Church.

Roger created a beautiful picture video playing to some of my brother’s favorite songs, and he carefully worked with my brother’s sons to get all versions of the songs as they wished. Roger seemed to take special care and pride, demonstrating creativity and artistry in his work.

It was an extremely difficult time, and there are so many pieces to this process, but somehow these kind and compassionate professionals made everything seem just a little bit more tolerable, always treating my brother’s memory and all of us with dignity, respect and I would have to say, even a little bit of love.

The entire Bowen family is forever grateful for the exceptional care provided by the staff at the Alfred D Thomas Funeral Home in Milton Massachusetts.

I wish to thank Alex and the staff of Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home for the wonderful way they handled my mother's funeral. They were so understanding and went out of their way to accommodate our family in altering a favorite gown of my mother's that she wanted for her burial one day. She looked beautiful, as if asleep. The funeral was done with such caring and attention to detail.

I want to take a moment to thank Alex, Jane, Leah, Pat, Kevin and the entire team at Alfred D. Thomas for taking such great care of my father and the entire Burgess family. Your kindness, patience, attention to detail and execution were flawless and greatly appreciated by everyone in our family.

We have dealt with Brian Fitzgerald several times at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home in Canton and were happy to hear he is now one of the owners of the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home where he recently helped us with our fathers services. As usual his attention to detail and compassion were second to none. Just a note to thank Alex, Roger and the entire staff for their kindness and willingness to always make families, and in my case, as the Memorial Service Officiant, feel at ease and cared for. During such a difficult and sad time it is comforting to know there is a place to honor, respect, and mourn the loss of a loved one. My personal thanks to all, especially Roger, for making my role that much easier.
