William F. O'Donnell, 93, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2024 in Cambridge, MA surrounded by family. Born in Boston, MA on May 6, 1930, he was the beloved son of the late Patrick J. O'Donnell and Elizabeth C. (McDonough) O'Donnell. William served in the United States Air Force. He was a teacher of foreign languages at Wahconah Regional High School in Dalton, MA and Nantucket High School in Nantucket, MA.
William enjoyed books, classical music, studying foreign languages, swimming in the ocean in Falmouth, travel and spending time with family and friends.
William was the dear brother of the late Joseph P. and (late Rita F.) formerly of Dedham, MA, the late Claire White and (late William H.) formerly of Milton, MA, the late James M. and (late Mary D.) formerly of Dover, NH., Edward M. and (late Frances) of Falmouth, MA, Patrick J. and (late Margaret) of North Quincy, MA, Mary Kates and (late Paul) of Hanover, MA, and Janet Murphy and her husband Thomas of Chicago, IL. William leaves behind 25 nieces and nephews and 53 great-nieces and nephews.
An alumnus of Roxbury Memorial High School in Boston and he earned a Bachelor of Arts at University of Texas at Austin.

A private family burial will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
