William F. Haddad Obituary
William F. Haddad of Milton passed away on May 29, 2026, at Ruth McLain Hospice House in Braintree. He is remembered with love and gratitude by his family and all who knew him.
He was a devoted husband to Lorraine (Gaitane), father to Mary Haddad, who lives in Milton with her husband Scott Harris, and the ever doting grandfather to Madeline Eve Harris. He also leaves behind his sister, Barbara Kelley and nephew Gregory Kelley of Pembroke.
The truest gentleman, he greeted everyone he met with a compliment and a smile. Raised in the South End of Boston, he graduated from Boston English High School and later attended Boston Business School. Early in his career, he served honorably for six years in the Air Force Reserve and earned the rank of Staff Sergeant.
His education and service helped prepare him for a long and respected career in banking, where he worked as a Compliance Officer for many years. Through his work at Bank of Boston, South Shore Bank, and South Boston Savings Bank, he earned the respect of his colleagues for his diligence, professionalism, and strong sense of responsibility. He understood the importance of doing things the right way and carried himself with quiet confidence and purpose. He later retired from Eagle Bank, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and integrity in the field he served so faithfully.
Outside of work, he enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He was a loyal sports fan and music buff who especially loved the Boston Celtics and Doo-Wop music. He also enjoyed dining out and taking vacations with his family, pastimes that brought him joy and gave him another way to spend time with those he loved. Most of all, he treasured the meaningful moments he spent with his family and friends.
His life was one marked by devotion, loyalty, and love. He was a man who valued family, took pride in his work, and appreciated the everyday moments that make a life rich and memorable. His memory will live on in the hearts in the many lives he touched through his kindness.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home at 326 Granite Ave, Milton on Thursday, June 4th at 11:00am. Visiting hours are Thursday morning prior to the service from 10:00am to 11:00am. Burial will follow the service at Milton Cemetery.
