Born on February 15, 1930, in Boston, Massachusetts, Bill was a loving, kind, and thoughtful man who touched the lives of many throughout his lifetime. Bill was born in Boston, the fifth of seven children, and spent his entire life in the city he loved.

He attended local schools and graduated from a Wentworth Institute technical training program after his discharge from the army in 1952. Bill proudly served his country in the Korean War, embodying the dedication and bravery of his generation.

Following his military service, Bill began a successful career at the LF Carton Co., where he worked for 20 years. He then joined the maintenance department of Boston Medical Center, where he remained until his retirement in 1997. Bill's commitment to his work and the people he served was evident throughout his professional life, and he was well-respected by his colleagues and friends.

Bill was a devoted husband to Dorothy S. (Abraham) Callahan, and together they built a loving home and family. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, and family members Cecelia H. Abraham of Boston, Susan and Robert Hughes, and Alfred and Mary Ellis of Winthrop, Jay and Pamela Donovan, and John Peckham of West Roxbury, as well as many nieces and nephews. Bill's love for his family was unwavering, and he was always there to lend a helping hand, share a kind word, or offer his support.
