A graduate of Milton High School (1969), Wentworth Institute (1971) and Northeastern University (1977) as well as service in the United States Air Force, are the achievements that laid the foundation for a successful career in civil engineering. His professional life was distinguished by his leadership skills. Tom was a Partner at Preload, Inc. for years, using his expertise in civil engineering and his passion for clean safe water.

Tom's dedication to his profession was evident through his active involvement in industry associations. He was a respected volunteer with the New England Water Works Association and a committed member of the American Water Works Association. His contributions to these organizations were marked by his passion for knowledge and his eagerness to share his experience with others.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tom was a man of many interests. He had an eclectic taste in music, finding joy in everything from classical symphonies to contemporary bands. His artistic soul found expression in painting, especially after retirement, where he created pieces that reflected his keen eye for beauty.

Fantasy football was more than a hobby for Tom; it was a season of strategy and friendly competition that he looked forward to every year.  An avid athlete, Tom's enthusiasm for the Boston Marathon was infectious. He trained with unwavering dedication, inspiring many to join him in embracing the joy of running. He was also a devoted supporter of youth sports, often found cheering from the sidelines, encouraging not only his children but all participants with his enthusiasm.

Tom's love for golfing was well-known, as was his “hole-in-one” at St. John’s County Golf Course.  Travel and cruising were among Tom's favorite ways to explore the world, a testament to his adventurous spirit and desire to embrace new experiences.

Above all, Tom's greatest pleasure was in sharing time with his family. Whether it was a simple family dinner, a grandchild's sporting event, or a festive holiday gathering, those moments were the highlights of his life. His presence was a source of stability and warmth, and his laughter was the music that made every family gathering complete.
