Stephen A. Walsh Sr. of Quincy, Milton and originally of Mission Hill, passed away after a recent battle with illness on September 7, 2022. The son of James M. and Margaret F. (Foley) Walsh. Father to Tracy Troiano and her husband Jamie of Milton, MA, Jennifer Allen and her husband Shawn of Raymond, NH, Christine Walsh of Dedham, MA, and Stephen A. Walsh Jr. of Queens, NY. Grandfather to Nicholas Walsh, Madeline and James Troiano. Brother of Francis Walsh, Catherine Killilea, Mary Ruhland, Robert Walsh, Jane Happeny and the late James Walsh, John Walsh and Margaret Barrett.
Steve was born on September 19, 1943 in Boston and grew up in Mission Hill. Attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Grammar School and graduate of Mission Church High School 1961. He moved to Milton, MA and raised his 4 children, he served Milton as a Letter Carrier for over 40 years. Steve thoroughly enjoyed sports, playing basketball in High School and spending many years refereeing youth basketball and soccer. He was a long time player in the Milton Yaz league playing softball up until very recent years. He enjoyed walking with his grandpups, golf, and spending time with his 3 grandchildren along with friends and family.

Funeral from the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave, Milton, on Thursday, September 15 at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St Agatha Church in Milton at 10:30. Interment will be private. Visiting Hours on Wednesday evening from 4pm to 7pm. Relatives and friends are invited.
