Rose M. Livingstone (Turko), age 98, formerly of Milton, of Pembroke, a cherished matriarch, passed away peacefully at her home on February 27, 2026, surrounded by her adoring family. Born on October 26, 1927, in Boston, Massachusetts, Rose‘s life was a testament to her enduring strength and unwavering dedication to her loved ones.
Rose‘s journey began in the vibrant streets of Boston, where she attended the High School of Practical Arts. Her early education laid a foundation for the practical and nurturing approach she brought to every aspect of her life. After graduation, Rose embraced her role as a devoted wife of 62 years to the late Francis Livingstone and as a loving mother to her ten children. Milton was her longtime home, a place where she cultivated a warm and welcoming environment for her growing family before eventually moving to Pembroke.
Rose‘s life was characterized by her deep commitment to her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis Livingstone and the loving mother of Jeanne Atkinson and her husband David of VT, Catherine Bazylinski of Iowa, Edward Livingstone and his partner Christine of FL, Marie Shaughnessy and her husband Robert of Weymouth, Janet DePatto and her husband Louis of Marshfield, Richard Livingstone of Taunton, Eileen DelVecchio and her husband Michael of Natick, Anne Livingstone of Abington, Christine Morris and her husband Dale of Pembroke, and the late William Livingstone. She also cherished the role of being a grandmother to her 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Rose was a guiding light in their lives, imparting wisdom, laughter, and an abundance of love. Her family will forever remember her for the joy and stability she provided.
She was predeceased by her sister Mary Stella, brother John Turko, and her beloved grandson Gram Bazylinski.
Rose‘s zest for life extended beyond her family. She was an avid bowler, a skill she showcased as a proud member of the St. Mary's Bowling League in Milton. Her competitive spirit was matched by her camaraderie and sportsmanship. Additionally, Rose found tranquility in cross-stitching, the meticulous nature of which reflected her attention to detail and patience. Jigsaw puzzles were a favorite pastime in later years.
Most of all, Rose cherished the time spent with her family. Whether it was aSunday dinner, a holiday gathering, or simply a casual visit, these moments were the highlights of her life. Her presence was a comforting constant, and her guidance was a compass for those she loved.
Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Monday March 9th from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. The visitation will be followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Agatha Church, Milton Monday at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Milton Cemetery.
