Roberta F. Nee (Haley), of Quincy, affectionately known as Bobbie, passed away peacefully at her home in Quincy on June 17, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born in South Boston, MA, Bobbie was a beacon of light and love to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Bobbie was the beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Nee Jr., and a devoted mother to her children: Kevin Nee of Braintree, Patricia Kelly and her husband Kevin of Quincy, Kathleen Flagg and her husband Harold of Norwood, James Nee and his wife Mona of Sandwich, and the late Thomas J. Nee. She was a cherished grandmother to Noelle Reilly, Kevin and Miranda Nee, Shauna and Danielle Kelly, Alyssa and Jenna Flagg, Daphne Duncan, and Samantha Hartley. Bobbie also delighted in her role as a great grandmother to Leighton and Shae Reilly, and Charlie Ann Nota. Her love and guidance extended to her siblings Geraldine Grenier of Hingham and Patricia Cornell and her husband William of Marshfield, as well as her in-laws Charles and Dorothy Miller of Weymouth. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A proud graduate of South Boston High School, Bobbie carried the spirit of her hometown throughout her life. She dedicated many years to the Adjustment Department at State Street Bank in Quincy, where she was known for her meticulous work and generous heart. Bobbie's colleagues not only respected her professionalism but also cherished her friendship and unwavering support.
Bobbie's interests were as rich and vibrant as her personality. She had an insatiable love for traveling, with Las Vegas, Florida, and Foxwoods Casino being some of her favorite destinations. However, nothing compared to the joy she felt while spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Each moment with them was treasured and filled with laughter, creating memories that will be lovingly remembered and passed down through generations.
Described by those who knew her as loving, kind, and generous, Bobbie's legacy is one of unconditional love and selflessness. Her radiant smile and the warm embrace she offered to all were a testament to the beautiful life she led. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to live on through the countless lives she touched.
As we say goodbye to Bobbie, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey filled with love, and a woman who was the embodiment of grace and compassion. She has left an indelible mark on this world, and her memory will be treasured forever. Bobbie's family takes comfort in knowing that she is now reunited with her beloved husband and their dear son, basking in the joy of eternal peace.
Funeral Service at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Friday morning at 11:00 am. Visiting hours prior to the service Friday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Burial Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
