Robert P. Shaheen

Robert P. Shaheen, age 79 of Quincy passed away unexpectedly May 3rd.  Born and raised in Quincy, Bob graduated from Quincy High School and was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era.  Bob was a lifelong resident of Quincy before moving to Kingston in 2013.   He worked as a Custodian for the Quincy Public Schools for 20 years before retiring in 2007.  He had previously worked for General Dynamics in the Quincy Shipyard.  Devoted father of Robert Shaheen and his wife Suzanne of New Bedford and Susan G. Gunn and her husband Thomas of Kingston.  Grandfather of Samuel Gunn, Samantha, Michael, and Aaron Shaheen.  Great grandfather of Mia and Brady DaRosa.  Brother of Donna Bertrand, Michael Shaheen both of Quincy and the late George Shaheen, Louise Nessralla, Nora Chase, Phillip, Joseph, John, and William Shaheen.  Also survived by his former wife Patricia Shaheen (McGrath) of Middleboro and several nieces and nephews.  Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Friday May 11th from 4-8 pm.  Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy Saturday morning May 12th at 10 am.  Burial private.  Donations may be made in Bob’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Assn. 309 Waverly Oaks Rd, Waltham, MA 02452.
