Robert Batiste Sr. Obituary

Robert L. Batiste Sr. of Milton passed away December 22nd He was born in South Boston to the late Marion (Cardarette) and Ralph Batiste.  In 1949 Bob joined the Army, serving as a paratrooper, and was honorably discharged in 1953.  Bob was a loyal member of the IBEW Electrician’s Local 103 for 67 years.  His favorite pastime was camping, and he and his wife managed to camp in almost every national park in the country.  Bob was most proud of the fact that he was a friend of Bill Wilson’s for over 50 years. 

Beloved husband of Helen L. (Hannon).   Father of Robert L. Batiste, Jr. and his wife Kerry of Billerica, Marion Batiste of Duxbury, Barbara Kaye and her husband Paul of Braintree, Charlene Monaghan and her husband Jack of Bridgewater, Ann Monaghan and her husband Bruce of Braintree, Michele Batiste and her husband Jeff Spellman of FL, Marlene Dickson and her husband Dana of NH, Christine Pickering and her husband Barry of Braintree, Tracy A. Ramondi and her husband Larry of Milton, Kelly J. Butts and her husband Bobby of Dorchester, and the late Dominic M. Paulo and his wife Patti of Weymouth. Also survived by 25 grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.  Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave, Milton Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm.  Funeral Mass at St. Mary of the Hills Church, Milton Wednesday morning at 10.  Burial Milton Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s memory to Father Bill’s Place, 430 Belmont St.., Brockton, MA 02201. The family requests that all guests wear a mask.
