Rita Hall (Bertram), a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on the 3rd of August, 2023 in Avon, Massachusetts. Her 89 years were filled with love and dedication to her family, friends, and community.

Rita was born on July 10, 1934, in Dorchester, Massachusetts to the late Herman and Cora (Mellor). She was a proud graduate of Dorchester High School. In 1953, at St. Mark's Church in Dorchester, she married the love of her life, Ralph Leo Hall, who sadly predeceased her. Rita was a devoted wife, and the couple shared many wonderful years together.

She is survived by her children: Donna Morris and her husband Ed of Avon, Stephen Hall of Avon, David Hall and his wife Kerry of Weymouth, and Christopher Hall and his late wife Adrienne of Easton, formerly of Dorchester. Rita was also the loving Nana of Michael, Colleen, Rob, Stevie, Kayla, Mackenzie, Nicholas, Jack, Kiera, and Courtney, and the cherished Great Nana of Ben, Cora, and Noelle. In addition to her immediate family, Rita leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews.

Rita's professional life was marked by her dedication and hard work. She was a respected sales manager at Howard Johnsons in Braintree, where she won several awards for her skill and dedication. She later became a homemaker, dedicating her time to the care and nurturing of her family.

Rita had a rich and fulfilling personal life. She was a devoted member of various prayer groups and the Red Hat Ladies. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren, and she especially enjoyed spending winters in sunny Florida. Rita also had a passion for travel, and she loved going on cruises. She and Ralph spent many happy hours cruising Boston Harbor on their boat. Even the simple task of cleaning her house brought her joy, as she took pride in creating a welcoming and comfortable home for her loved ones.

Rita was best described as loving, kind, and gentle. She had a warm heart and a generous spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand or a comforting word. Her gentle demeanor and compassionate nature touched the lives of everyone she met. Rita's life was a testament to the power of love and kindness, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

In the wake of her passing, we remember Rita not with sadness, but with gratitude for the love and joy she brought into our lives. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her, and her spirit will continue to inspire us. Rita Hall (Bertram) was a remarkable woman, and her life was a gift to us all. She will be greatly missed, but her light will continue to shine in our hearts.
