Richard M. Noris, born in Milton, MA, and known as Dick to his friends and family, passed away peacefully at his home in Pembroke on February 15, 2024. Dick was a graduate of Milton High School, later went on to earn his BS in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University in the Class of 1960, and enjoyed a long career at Boston Gas Company before his well-earned retirement.
Dick was proud to be a veteran of the armed forces, having served in the Army. In his personal life, Dick was an avid sports fan, always eager to discuss the latest game, recall long ago statistics and cheer on his favorite home town Boston teams and Notre Dame. His appetite for information and love of reading was insatiable, providing him with endless hours of enjoyment and a wealth of knowledge that he loved to share.
Dick was the beloved husband of the late Pauline M. (Birsner), devoted father of Jennifer L. Kelner and her husband Michael of Pembroke, and Jonathan M. Noris and his wife Stephanie of Cumberland, RI. Loving grandfather of Drew Kelner, Grace Kelner, Lucy Noris and Elizabeth Noris. Brother of Nancy Kelly of Virginia Beach, VA and Brother-in-law of Doris Brannock of Lanham, MD.
