Peter A. Culhane, age 77, of Milton formerly of Cambridge, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 16, 2025, at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston. Born on February 5, 1948, in Cambridge, MA, Peter's life was marked by dedication, service, and joy that touched the hearts of all who knew him.

Raised in the city of his birth, Peter graduated from Matignon High School in the Class of 1965 and after graduation he served on the USS New Jersey BB 62 during the Vietnam War. After being discharged from the Navy he went on to further his education at UMass Boston.  A respected professional, Peter worked for Datel Communications as a Tele Communications Salesman for many years before retiring. 

Peter's love for life was evident in his varied interests. An avid reader, he found joy and solace in the pages of countless books, which were his companions in quiet moments. He had an appreciation for classical music.

Family was the cornerstone of Peter's life. He was a devoted father to his sons, David Culhane of Milton and Michael Culhane and his wife Honoka of Tokyo, Japan. His role as a grandfather to Lucy and Patrick Culhane was one he cherished deeply.  He was also a supportive brother to John, Elizabeth, and Mary Ann Culhane, all of Cambridge, sharing an unbreakable bond that only siblings understand.

As we bid farewell to Peter A. Culhane, we celebrate a life well-lived and a man dearly loved.

Relatives and friends invited to attend a funeral Mass at St. Agatha Church, Milton Thursday morning October 23rd at 10:30 am.  Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Thursday morning prior to the Mass from 9:00 to 10:00 am.  Burial will follow the mass at Milton Cemetery.
