Dr. Pamela F. Summers (French) of Whitman passed away suddenly November 9 th at the South Shore Hospital. Born in Englewood, NJ she graduated from North Rockland High School in Rockland, NY. She went on to earn her undergraduate degree from the University of Vermont, her Masters degree in Literature from Indiana University and her EdD from Boston University. She was a Children’s Literature Professor at Cortland University and Binghamton University in New York, and West Chester University and Lincoln University in Pennsylvania.
Beloved wife of Rodger Summers. Mother of Megan Bernard and her husband Doug of Abington and Jordan Summers and her wife Olivia Breen of Cambridge. Grandmother of Theodore and Vivien Bernard. Sister of Donald French of N.J., Kathy Cunningham of Milton and Robin Steward of N.J and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral Service at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Saturday morning at 10:30. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 pm. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
