Nora Dirrane Obituary

Nora Dirrane (Hannon) of Dorchester passed away December 31st at home surrounded by her loving family.  Born and raised in Ballygar, County Galway, Ireland she came to the United States at age 15 and has lived in Dorchester since 1969.  She was a member of the Irish Social Club in W. Roxbury and enjoyed listening to Irish Music. 

Beloved wife of Brian C.  Mother of Maryann Dirrane and her husband Sean Connor of Milton and Brian P. Dirrane of Dorchester.  Grandmother of Chanel, Clarissa and Shane Connor.  Sister of the late Lawrence, John, and Mary Hannon.  Daughter of the late Michael and Annie Hannon. Funeral Mass at St. Mark’s Church, Dorchester Wednesday morning at 10:00 am.  Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Wednesday morning prior to the mass from 8:30 am to 9:30 am.  Burial Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.  Donations may be made in her memory to the Irish Pastoral Centre, 512 Gallivan Blvd, Suite 201, Dorchester, MA 02124 or at www.ipcboston.org.
