Najib Habib of Norwood passed away on September 4 after a brief illness. He was born in Deir Al Kamar, Lebanon and lived in Norwood, MA for the past 5 years. . Habib was the loving son of Zeinab (Karaki) and the late Fawzi Habib. Loving husband of Layla Cobti for over 7 years. Najib is survived by his loving brothers and sisters:
Joelle and her husband Bassan Ibri, and Gina (Lebanon), and brothers: Domenic and his wife Josiane Chaar, Hanna and his wife Rana Kozah, Elie and his wife Joyce Mouakar, Fouad and his wife Rola Chalhoub (Lebanon), Fadi (Belgium), and Roni and his son Romen (California).
Left to cherish his memories are so many, including the families:
· In Massachusetts of: Cobti, Kobti, Abdallah, Wakim, Bandar.
· In Michigan: Arida, Issa, Haddad, Aouad.
· In Lebanon:
o Habib, Karaki, Cobti, Chaar, Ibri, Kozah, Nabhan, Mouakar, Chalhoub, Akouri, Hawi.
o Cobti, Abdallah, Fakhouri, Hayek, Elia, Zaklit, Bandar, Bandar, Jabbour, Azzi, Khalil.
Najib worked in Lebanon several years for the businessman Toni Tohmi then 4 years for the OXFAM Organization.
He immigrated to the United States in 2017 to join his devoted wife, Layla.
Najib caringly worked as a PCA, where he aided several gravely ill patients with their final journeys, trying to make them comfortable.
During his last year, Najib was working for YL Technology LLC as a Warehouse Clerk, where he became a member of the Wakim Family. He had a happy, carefree personality that won over all that he met.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Milton on Friday at 11 am.
Interment will be held at Highland Cemetery in Norwood, MA. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton on Thursday, September 8 from 4pm to 8pm.
