Mildred P. “Millie” DiGiacomandrea (Jordan), age 90, of Roxbury passed away August 18th at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. Born in Boston, she was raised in Jamaica Plain and graduated from Jamaica Plain High School and has lived in Roxbury since 1952. Millie was extremely devoted to family and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and was generous to a fault. She enjoyed playing bingo with her friends, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune and was a former, active member and Chaplain of the VFW in S. Boston.
Daughter of Mary and Albert Jordan. Beloved wife of the late Louis J. Mother of Lois DiGiacomandrea-Harper and her husband Michael of Roxbury and Susan Holmes and her husband Stephen of Harvard. Grandmother of Michael Holmes, Christopher Holmes, Jacquelyn Harper and Leslie Clancy. Great grandmother of Kayleigh, Alexander, Anthony, Louie, Arthur, and Stella. Sister of the late Dorothy Ponti. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Followed by a graveside service at Gethsemane Cemetery, W. Roxbury.
