Mathew R. Newell, age 29, passed away unexpectedly February 22nd. Born in Winchester, he was raised and educated in Quincy and Medford, and worked as a laborer for many years. Anyone who knew Mathew would describe him as a caring young man, a very courageous and fearless person, always ready to defend anyone who was in trouble. He was an avid fisherman and a sports enthusiast. He loved all animals and appreciated nature. Mathew had a kind, gentle soul and was generous to everyone in his life, families and strangers alike. He recently became a father and by far, his son, was one of his greatest loves in life. Although very young, Mathew always expressed his admiration for those who chose to donate their organs. And in turn, when he passed from his life on this earth, he passed along a gift to many others through organ donation.
Matthew leaves behind Heather Goodale, his beloved partner, his son Jameson M. Newell and stepdaughter Kayleigh Susinetti, all of Wrentham. He was the beloved son of Richard L. Newell of Plaistow, NH and the late Beth Ann (Kaes) Newell of Quincy. Beloved brother and brother-n-law of Samantha and her husband Cody, and uncle to Evelyn Rydbom, all of Chambersburg, PA. Beloved grandson of William C. and Elizabeth R. Newell of Medford and the late Timothy J. and Marilyn E. Kaes of Quincy. Matthew was also survived by his loving aunts and uncles, Melissa Kaes of Quincy, Timothy and Angie Kaes of Quincy, William Newell of Plymouth, Lucinda and Larry Maganzini of Stoneham, Denise and Mustafa Haidermota of Temecula, CA and Elizabeth and Scott Lopes of Sandwich and also his many loving cousins. His family thanks God for the gift of Mathew.
