Mary Lovett (née Kelly) passed away peacefully on January 9th, 2026, surrounded by family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years, Patrick V. Lovett, who passed in 2015.
Born in Ballaughbue, Beara, Cork, Ireland, Mary immigrated to the United States in the 1940s, a journey she was deeply proud of throughout her life. She built a life rooted in family, hard work, and quiet strength, carrying her Irish heritage with her always.
Mary was a devoted mother to her three children: John M. Lovett, Mary E. Lovett, and the late Eileen A. Spinney. She was also a cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, and beloved sister and aunt; whose warmth, culinary skills, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Mary will be remembered for her resilience, her matriarchal nature and love of family, and the grace with which she lived her life. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at rest and reunited with those who went before her.
Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton on Saturday January 24th from 9:00-11:00am. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth church Milton at 11:30am. Burial to follow at Milton Cemetery.
