Mary Ellen (Lynch) (Beatty) Harnett

Mary Ellen (Lynch) (Beatty) Harnett of Braintree and formerly Dorchester passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving children on Friday, March 28, 2025. She was 83. 

She was born in Dorchester to the late Thomas and Helen (McGrath) Lynch. Mary was a devoted mother to Sheila Hobin and husband Matt of Braintree, Janet Waggett of Falmouth, Paul Beatty of Halifax, Maryellen Bosse and husband Brian of South Weymouth, Thomas Beatty of Canton, Robert Beatty of Quincy and the late Michael R Beatty.  Loving wife of the late Edward Harnett. Mary was the proud sister to Janet Mayo, Peggy Feroli, Patricia Lynch, Mark Lynch, John Lynch and Elaine Canty, as well as the late Nancy, Tommy, Kathy, Kevin, Paul and Chris. Also survived by 19 adoring grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, dozens of nieces and nephews and many, many friends. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a celebration of life service at St. Ann’s in Neponset, Dorchester on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Burial will be private.
