Mary E. Donahue

Mary E. Donahue (Carrigan), age 95, of Milton passed away November 16th.  Born in Westwood, she was raised in Norwood and graduated from Norwood High School.  She previously lived in Jamaica Plain and Hyde Park before moving to Milton 13 years ago.  She worked for New England Telephone for many years, first as a Switchboard Operator and retired as a Manager.  She was a member of the New England Telephone Pioneers, The Red Hatters, The Caring Group at Fuller Village, and was previously an active parishioner at Most Precious Blood Church in Hyde Park. 

Beloved wife of Donald L., Sr.  Mother of Donald L. Donahue, Jr. and his wife Patricia of Quincy and David F. Donahue and his wife Janet of Scituate.  Sister of Patricia Goode and her husband John of Milton and the late William, Joseph, Francis, and Alice Carrigan and Doris White.  Grandmother of Daniel Donahue, Colleen Mitchell, Ryan Donahue, Patrick Donahue, Christine Donahue and Shannon Donahue.  Also survived by 6 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She was pre-deceased by her dear friend Helen Stack.  Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Sunday 2-6 pm.  Funeral Mass at St. Agatha Church Milton Monday morning at 10:30.  Burial Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Hebrew Senior Life Center 1200 Centre St. Roslindale, MA 02132.
