Marie F. (DeRusha) Guerini, a long -time resident of Milton, MA, passed away peacefully on March 2,2025, at the age of 91, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was the beloved wife of the late Andrew J. Guerini and a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was predeceased by her brother Philip DeRusha and their bond became a cherished part of her life story.
Marie is survived by her children Andrew J Guerini Jr. and his wife Marie of Plymouth, Joanne Magliozzi and her husband Robert Magliozzi of Milton, and Rosemarie Guerini and her husband Jeff D’amore of Jupiter FL. Her children in turn blessed her with the joy of being a grandmother to Andrew J. Guerini III and his wife Samantha, Anthony Magliozzi and his wife Jacqueline, Michael Magliozzi and his wife Michelle and Jefferey D’Amore Jr., Marcus D’Amore, and Tessa D,Amore. She was also a great grandmother of Nellie, Enzo and Vivienne Magliozzi. All were the lights of her life, and she took immense pride in their every achievement and milestone.
Marie enjoyed spending time with friends and family in lively gatherings filled with funny stories and lots of laughter. She was quite entertaining and a talented singer. She took those wonderful qualities and joined the Milton Players in 1975. She was a very enthusiastic and talented member for 17 years. She acted and sang in 10 plays as well as many Seasons Subscribers Shows. When not on stage, Marie enjoyed supporting her fellow actors by helping behind the scenes in many capacities. She also served on the players Executive Board and as Corresponding Secretary. Marie’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of those she loved, and she will be deeply missed, but the memories she created will continue to bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave. Milton Saturday morning March 8th at 10:00am. Visitation prior to the service Saturday morning from 9:00-10:00am Burial Milton Cemetery.
