Marguerite T. Hill, known affectionately as Peggy to her friends and family, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2023, at Accent Care in Milton, Massachusetts. Born in Boston, MA, Peggy was a beacon of love and faith throughout her life, touching the hearts of all who knew her.
Peggy was the beloved wife of Lloyd H. Hill Sr., and together they built a life full of joy and shared purpose. Her devotion to her family was unmatched, and she was a cherished mother to Lloyd Hill, Jr. and his wife Kate of Milton, Larry Hill and his wife Melissa of Durham, CT, Cathi Hill and her husband Steve Barry of Mattapoisett, John Hill of Santa Monica, CA, and Rich Hill and his wife Caitlin of Milton. Peggy's nurturing spirit extended to her eight grandchildren – Kate Lynne, Kristina, Lloyd Michael, Laura, Brittany, Laurence, Brice, and her guardian angel Brooks – who adored their grandmother for her unwavering support and love.
She was a loving sister to John McInnis of Sandwich, Laurence McInnis of Hull, Cinda McInnis of Hull, Peggy was predeceased by her siblings Francis McInnis, Jr., Euanna Hislop, Frances Basler and Richard McInnis. Each family member held a special place in her heart, and her guidance and wisdom were the family's cornerstone.
Peggy was a proud graduate of Girls Latin High School, where she formed many lifelong friendships and developed a love for learning that she would carry with her throughout her life. As a Home Health Aide, she showed compassion and care to those she served, but her favorite role was that of a wife and mother. She poured her heart into creating a warm and loving home, and her presence was a source of comfort and joy to her family.
Her children and grandchildren's sporting events were the highlight of her days, as she never missed an opportunity to cheer them on, celebrating every victory and offering comfort in every challenge. Peggy's commitment to her family was only matched by her dedication to her faith.
As a longtime parishioner of St. Agatha Church in Milton, Peggy's faith was a testament to her character. She lived a life filled with grace and kindness, always putting others before herself. Her friendly demeanor made her a beloved figure in her community, where she was known for her generous spirit and ability to make everyone feel welcome.
Peggy's life was a reflection of the words that best describe her: loving, faith-filled, and friendly. She had an innate ability to connect with people from all walks of life, and her legacy is one of love and service. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched.
As we say farewell to Marguerite T. Hill, we celebrate a life well-lived and a soul that truly made a difference in this world. Her unwavering love and the cherished memories she created with her family and friends will be treasured forever. Peggy's life was a beautiful testament to the power of love and faith, and she will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Rest in peace, dear Peggy. Your light will continue to shine in the hearts of your loved ones, guiding them with the same love and compassion you showed every day of your remarkable life.
