Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, located at 326 Granite Avenue Milton, on Friday June 23rd from 10:00am-11:00am. A Funeral Service will be held in the funeral home at 11:00am. Interment to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Dorchester.
Mabel Middleton, age 92, passed away June 13th. Born in Charleston South Carolina, daughter of the late Ida Bell-Green and Marion Green of Youngs Island South Carolina.
As an adult, she moved and lived in Boston several years and later moved to Medford for the remainder of her life. She worked as a Nursing Assistant at Boston Medical Center for 30 years before retiring. She loved reading the bible, worshiping at church, walking in the park, talking on the phone with her children and shopping.
Beloved wife of the late Ernest Middleton. Loving mother of Anthony Middleton of San Diego, CA, Diane Tetle of Milton, Ernestine Middleton, (deceased) Ernest Middleton Jr. of Medford, Tina Collins of Phoenix, AZ and Chris Middleton of Roxbury.
Mabel is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Remaining family members include sisters and brothers of Mable Middleton; Late Deacon Benjamin Brown & Ethel G. Brown, S.C. Willie Mae Porter & Eddie Brockton Ida M. McCleann & Melvin Summerville SC, John Green deceased SC, John Green deceased SC, Marion Green Mabel deceased wife SC, Roosevelt Green Margret deceased wife SC, Luchion Green Delores deceased wife Murrieta California, Aunt Sarah Green.
