Lerita “Glee” Brown (Neill), formerly of Quincy, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on May 3, 2022. Glee was a graduate of the High School for the Practical Arts and later received her Associates degree from Leland Powers School in 1954. A lover of music, Glee spent many years singing in her local church’s choir and was often asked to be a soloist. She held several clerical jobs, most notable, Seymours Ice Cream in Dorchester, MA and Rush Auto Parts in Norwood, MA. She was employed at Rush Auto Parts as a saleswoman for 30 years, retiring in 2013. Glee was an active member of The Milton Players, acting and directing many performances. She was also a member of the Walpole Footlighters and Brookline Amateurs. Glee had a love for nature and spent her vacations camping, fishing, and hiking. She even enjoyed white water rafting. Glee was an advocate for protecting the environment. As such, she became involved in the pursuit to save the marshlands in Quincy, MA. Glee enjoyed traveling to new places with her husband Bob. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Robert Brown of Leominster, her daughter Deborah Loranger and son Paul Loranger of Ashburnham, her grandson Bryan N. Balutis, his fiancé Sarah Davis, and their son Bryan T. Balutis from Ashburnham, her grandson Christopher M. Balutis and his wife Shana Balutis of Ashburnham, and her granddaughter Noelle E. Balutis of Leominster.
Funeral services will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home on Friday May 6th, 2022 at 10 am. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas funeral home, 326 Granite ave, Milton, Thursday May 5th, 2022 5-8 pm. Interment is private.
