Kathleen M. D’Alessandro-Morley, of Hanover and Weymouth passed away peacefully Friday, March 26th. She was the daughter of the late Jean A. (Sullivan) Joyce and Harry D’Alessandro and stepdaughter of Carol D’Alessandro of Weymouth. Kathleen was the sister of Terry MacVarish and husband Francis of Marshfield, Paul D’Alessandro and wife Val of Leominster, Thomas D’Alessandro and wife Pamela of Kingston, Maria Gerrish and husband John of Bridgewater, Joe D’Alessandro and wife Carol of Lakeville, Tina Welsh and husband Jim of Bridgewater and Stephen D’Alessandro and wife Noreen of Hanover. Kathleen is also survived by many cherished loving nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, on Tuesday, March 30th from 4 to 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Church, Milton, Wednesday morning at 10 am. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester at a later date.
Kathleen was a graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School in Brockton and The Catherine Laboure School of Nursing in Dorchester. She worked as an Emergency Room Nurse at the Faulkner Hospital in Jamaica Plain for 35 years. She was a free spirit who loved having company and having fun. Kathleen was also an avid gardener and a wonderful cook. Additionally, she loved to travel, especially to Aruba and Martha’s Vineyard. She also thoroughly enjoyed music and was a great Patriots and Red Sox fan. Kathleen was passionate about St. Jude Children’s Hospital where donations may be made in her memory. Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions only 20 guests will be allowed within the funeral home at once, masks are required, and guests should bring their own pens to sign the register book.
