Kathleen Brodie Obituary
Kathleen M. Brodie passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of devotion to family, faith, friendship, and quiet acts of kindness that touched everyone who knew her.
Kathleen was the beloved daughter of the late Patrick and Nora (Connolly) Brodie. She was a devoted sister to Paul Brodie of Whitman, MA and was predeceased by her sisters, Patricia Reardon and Mary Sawicky. She was a cherished aunt to John Sawicky and his wife Pooja of Lexington, MA, Andrew Sawicky of Milton, MA, and Mary Brodie of Dallas, TX. Kathleen also shared a special bond with her great-nephew and great-niece, Julian and Asha, with whom she was very close. Her love for her family was steadfast and deep, and she expressed it not only in words, but in the many thoughtful ways she cared for them over the years.
Kathleen was known for her selflessness and for the gentle strength she brought to the lives of those around her. Those who knew Kathleen will remember her as someone who always put others first and who gave of herself freely and without hesitation.
In her working life, Kathleen was a devoted employee at Gillette, where she was respected for her reliability, professionalism, and kind nature. She carried herself with quiet dignity and a dependable spirit, and she took pride in doing her work well. Her presence was a steady and reassuring one to those who worked alongside her.
Kathleen enjoyed many simple pleasures in life, and she embraced them with enthusiasm. She was an avid golfer and a proud member of the Women’s Golf Association at the Braintree Municipal Golf Course. She found enjoyment in the game, the companionship, and the time spent outdoors. She was also a devoted parishioner of St. Agatha Parish in Milton, where her faith remained an important part of her life.
Kathleen was also a gifted baker who baked bread on a near-weekly basis. Her kitchen was a place of comfort and care, and the breads she made were a reflection of the love she poured into all that she did. Whether through a meal, a visit, or a thoughtful gesture, Kathleen had a way of making others feel welcomed.
Above all, Kathleen will be remembered for her loving heart, her generous spirit, and her unwavering devotion to the people she held dear. She lived her life with grace, humility, and kindness, and she leaves behind a beautiful example of what it means to care deeply for others. Her memory will remain a blessing to her family and to all who knew her.
Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home located at 326 Granite Ave., Milton on Friday, May 22nd from 9:00-10:00 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Agatha’s Parish in Milton at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
