Judith Hunt Obituary

It is with Deep sorrow and Heavy Hearts to let go from this physical world a Beautiful, Cherished &
Adored Wife, Sister, Aunt & Dear Friend to all, our Precious Judy. Judy Hunt (Barber) passed suddenly at
age 79 from our world on October 16, 2022 to be with her parents Esther & Albert Barber, and sister
Carole who preceded her in Heaven. Judy lived with Joe, her Loving, Dedicated husband of 40 years at
their home in South Yarmouth, formally of Milton MA.

Judy embraced her life with such enthusiasm that attracted family and friends to want to be with her.
She had a positive influence on the lives of all those who had the honor of knowing her including those
who just briefly crossed her path. Judy gave of herself every valuable asset obtainable in a living person
to each and every life she touched. Judy was the Matriarch of our family. What reverberates throughout
are the words “Judy was always there for me, she was a mother to me, she was a big sister, she was
more than a friend she was family, supportive beyond compare, she was my first call, always looking out
for others wellbeing, you could talk to her about anything, she was a Constant in my life, she will always
bring a smile to my face, she was caring, loving, knowledgeable, fun, Thoughtful, upbeat and all held an
immeasurable amount of Love for her.”

Judy was born at Waltham hospital on February 22, 1943. Waltham is where she grew up with her
parents & nine siblings, graduating from Waltham high school. Judy then was accepted and graduated
from the Nursing Program at Cambridge City Hospital which started her long fulfilling career as an RN.
She then furthered her education graduating from Emmanuel college with a BSN. She worked in
different areas of nursing ending her career in 2008 as a VNA nurse of 30 years.

Judy embraced her world spending her time with family and friends, enjoying travel, entertaining family
and friends, dining out, attending plays, concerts, theater, reading, golf, skiing, loving the Red Sox &
Patriots, swimming and gardening.

When asked the family and life friends to contribute thoughts on how Judy influenced their lives one
summarized it Beautifully “Think about the Brightest light- that would be Judy – calm but determined,
solid & strong in her support & advice, ever present & available, light when dark” we were all Blessed to
have her- many lives are better, the world is a better place because of our Judy.
