Joseph P. Trainor, Sr. of N. Quincy, formerly of Canton, Norfolk and Bass River, died unexpectedly on October 18 th at MGH.

Beloved husband of Irene L. (Seghezzi) and devoted father to Joseph P. Jr., and his wife Lisa of Lynnfield, Brian S. of Canton, and Kimberly A. Quinn and her husband Robert of Norwell. Also loving grandfather to Devon, Cole, Alexandra and Tyler. Brother of Mary Mason of Plymouth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Joe attended Northeastern University, School of Engineering, and founded his own company, Ledgewood Construction in the ‘70s. He was also a proud veteran.

Joe had many hobbies. He loved traveling and often called Aruba his second home. He also loved the Cape and New Hampshire. He was an avid runner and a member of the L Street Runners for many years and enjoyed skiing and golf as well.

He was a very generous person to everyone and could always find him sharing a meal with his friends at his favorite restaurants.

As we celebrate the life of Joseph P. Trainor, Sr. we remember a man who made the world a little brighter, a little kinder, and a lot more fun. His legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Wednesday November 1st 4:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Elizabeth’s Church Milton Thursday morning November 2nd at 10:00. Burial private.
