Joseph L. Scully Jr.

A Funeral Mass for Joseph will be celebrated at St. Agatha Parish on Tuesday June 20th at 10:30am. Burial will be private. 

Joseph L. Scully Jr., a loving, thoughtful, and faith-filled man, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2023, in Milton, MA. Born on April 21, 1943, in Boston, Joseph was the son of the late Joseph L. Scully and Elizabeth A. (Lanigan) Scully and the beloved husband of Neide Scully.

Joseph was an avid parishioner of St. Agatha Parish in Milton and was known for his kind and generous nature. He had a strong passion for helping others and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. He was a devoted husband, a loyal friend, and a cherished member of his community.

After serving his country in the Marine Reserves, Joseph began his career as a driver and rehabilitation counselor for the Pine Street Inn. He took great pride in his work and was dedicated to making a difference in the lives of the people he served. His compassion and commitment to helping others was admired by all who knew him.

In his free time, Joseph enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sharing stories and laughter. His warm and loving presence could light up a room, and he was known for his ability to make everyone feel welcome and at ease. Joseph's unwavering faith was an inspiration to those around him, and he was a true example of a life well-lived.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Neide Scully, and many loving cousins who will dearly miss him. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph L. Scully and Elizabeth A. (Lanigan) Scully. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Joseph's life was a testament to his strong faith, his love for his family and friends, and his dedication to helping others. He will be remembered as a loving, thoughtful, and faith-filled man who made a positive impact on the lives of countless individuals. His legacy will live on through the many lives he touched and the memories he leaves behind.
