John M. Pusateri, 68 years old, of Hanover MA and Ossipee, NH, passed away suddenly Sunday, January 14, 2024 from injuries sustained in a car accident.
John was born in Quincy to the late Anthony and Mary (Sullivan) Pusateri. Raised and educated in Quincy he was a 1973 graduate of Quincy High School.
John lived in Hanover, MA and Ossipee, NH for many years. He owned North Country Recycling in Tamworth, NH where he worked alongside his late son and best friend, Michael. John previously co-owned and operated P.K. Contracting in Randolph, MA with his brother, Anthony Pusateri Jr.
Some of John’s happiest memories were spent at his lakeside home in Ossipee. He cherished the view of the White Mountains from his living room. John’s love for the outdoors included snowmobile trips throughout Canada, boating and family beach days. He had a lifelong interest in meteorology and was eager to share his forecast. John was soon to retire and spend more time with family and close friends at his home in Naples, Florida. As accomplished as John was in business, his greatest achievement was his family and countless lasting friendships.
John is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Debbie (Gilmartin) Pusateri. Loving father to Michelle Houser and her husband Nathan of Cohasset, the late Michael J. Pusateri and his former life partner, Deanna Eldridge. Doting Papa of Logan, Grant, and Weston Houser, Giavanna and Bradley Pusateri and Leah and Caleb Eldridge.
Dear brother of Anthony Pusateri Jr. and wife Joan of Abington, Donna Bertrand and husband Tony of Quincy, Mary Bettle and husband Doug of Hull and Paul Pusateri of Braintree. John is also survived by many nieces and nephews who will remember his quick wit, sense of humor and contagious laugh.
