Joan D. "Jennie" Fisher Obituary

Joan D. “Jennie” Fisher (Pettine) age 99, of Milton, formerly of Braintree and S. Boston passed away January 6th.  Born in Boston, she was raised in South Boston and graduated from South Boston High School.  She worked for many years as a Social Worker for the Department of Transitional Assistance before retiring.  Jennie was a longtime parishioner of St. Pius X Church in Milton and enjoyed Western Movies, Ballroom Dancing and roller skating in her younger years. 

Beloved wife of the late Joseph F.  Mother of Joanne Fisher and her husband Fred Trusten of Milton and Paul Fisher and his wife Pat of Uxbridge.  Sister of the late Mary McGrale, Angelina Markelonis, and Michael Pettine.  Grandmother of Joseph Fisher and his wife Kelly, Kevin Fisher, Nathaniel Trusten, and Ethan Trusten and his wife Veronica. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.  Funeral Mass at St. Pius X Church Milton Wednesday morning at 10:30.  Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.  In  lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Hospital for Children at www.stjude.org
