Jeremiah Donovan

Donovan, Jeremiah, age 95, passed away peacefully Monday, September 23, 2019.  Born in County Cork, Ireland, he moved to the United States and resided in Boston prior to his move to Milton, MA 66 years ago. He retired from his position as a Chief Inspector of the MBTA. The beloved husband of 66 years of the late Margaret T. (Brennan) Donovan, he was the devoted father of  9 children: Paul of Westminster, Karen (Stephen) Lambert of Canton, Mary Fitzsimons of Quincy, Ellen (David Harding) Donovan of NY, Jane (Steven) Carey of Attleboro, Sheila (Nick) Driscoll of Marshfield, Susan (Michael) Patti of Methuen, Gerald Donovan, M.D. of So. Dartmouth, and Ann (John Scaife) Donovan of Quincy. Mr. Donovan was the dear grandfather of 19 cherished grandchildren and loving brother of the late Daniel Joseph O'Donovan, Denis O'Donovan, Eileen Williams, Margaret McNamara, Julia Wright, Sr. Mary Eugenius and John (Jack) O'Donovan. He was a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews in the USA and Ireland.

Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Thursday, September 26, 2019 from 4 to 8 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Agatha Church, Milton, Friday morning, September 27, 2019 at 9:00 am. Burial will follow in Milton Cemetery.
