Jeannette Chahine, age 72, passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026, at her home in Weymouth, embraced by the love of her devoted family. Born in Beirut, Lebanon, Jeannette's life was a testament to resilience, compassion, and the enduring bonds of family.
Jeannette's journey began in the heart of Lebanon, where she was raised and received her education, instilling in her a deep appreciation for her cultural heritage. Her spirit of adventure and hope led her to immigrate to the United States in 2003, where she made her home in Weymouth since 2011, bringing with her the warmth and traditions of her Lebanese roots.
As the beloved wife of the late Chahine E. Chahine, Jeannette's partnership with her husband was a portrait of love and mutual respect. Together, they navigated the challenges of life, always supporting each other's dreams and aspirations. Jeannette was a devoted mother to her children, Sophia Chahine of Lebanon, Elias Chahine, and Tony Chahine, both of Weymouth. Her nurturing presence and unwavering support were the cornerstones of their lives.
Jeannette's role as a sister was equally cherished, sharing an unbreakable bond with Tony Kehdy and Antoinette Sallaom, both of Lebanon. As a grandmother, Jeannette's heart overflowed with pride and joy for her grandchildren, Goe and Jane Nader, Jeanette, Shaheen, Elias, and Eliana Chahine. Her eyes would light up at the mention of their names, and she reveled in every opportunity to spoil them with love and attention.
While Jeannette's primary vocation was that of a homemaker, her impact extended far beyond the walls of her home. She was a pillar of strength and a source of wisdom for her family and friends, often providing a sanctuary for those in need of support. Her ability to nurture and care for her loved ones was unparalleled, and she took greatest pleasure in the simple joys of family gatherings, where her warmth and generosity were felt by all.
Jeannette's legacy is one of unconditional love, unwavering faith, and the importance of family. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive through the stories shared by those who knew her best, the laughter that filled her home, and the love that she so freely gave. Her departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but her spirit will continue to guide and inspire her family for generations to come.
