Janet M Foley Obituary

Janet M. Foley, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on January 20,

2025, at the age of 83. Born on July 24, 1941, Janet's life was a testament to her caring

nature and unwavering dedication to her family and profession.

Janet's journey began in Milton. Her passion for helping others led her to the Lemuel

Shattuck Nursing School, where she cultivated the skills defining her career. Janet's

professional life was marked by her tenure as a Nurse at multiple Boston hospitals. Her

care and thoughtful approach to patient well-being earned her the respect and admiration

of both colleagues and those she served.

Beyond her professional achievements, Janet was a devoted wife to her late husband,

Stephen Foley. Together, they built a life filled with love and shared experiences. Janet's

legacy continued through her cherished children: Deborah M. Jacques, along with her

husband Michael of Holbrook, and David B. Andre, with his wife Eriliza Guerrero-Andre of

Melrose. She was a proud and doting grandmother to Dylan W. Andre of Melrose, Carrietta

D. Jacques, and Harris M. Jacques of Holbrook. Each of them carried a piece of Janet's

heart and her teachings of love and kindness.

Janet's zest for life was evident in her many interests. An avid reader, she found solace and

adventure within the pages of countless books. Her love for travel took her to her favorite

destinations including Alaska, Aruba, Hawaii, and Mesquite, Nevada. Cruises were also a

particular joy spending time with friends. A lifelong Red Sox fan, Janet was always

passionate about discussing the team - good or bad.

Janet enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, whom she adored. She loved

spending time at her cottage on Newfound Lake in New Hampshire, where memories were

made.

Her passing leaves a void that can never be filled, but her spirit will continue to inspire and

guide us. Janet M. Foley's memory will be cherished and honored by all whose lives she

touched, and her story will be recounted with affection and admiration for generations to

come.
