James McDonald Obituary

James J. McDonald ( Ret. B.F.D.) passed away peacefully, his family by his side,  on June 12th. Born in Boston 79 years ago, he was raised in Boston and  was a graduate of Hyde Park High School. He resided in Quincy for many years before moving to Hanson and Kingston. James enjoyed using his carpentry skills working around his home,  He was an avid Boxing Fan, a late member of the Liars Club and  the "Pall Bearers" Club,. Devoted father of Linda Murphy and Mary "Tessie” Callahan both of Attleboro and the late James McDonald and their late mother, Diane,  Susan M. Burke of  Hanson and her late mother Elinor "Ellie" (McNulty). Brother of  the late Gertrude, Willard, and Martin McDonald and Teresa “Mickey” Cuddy and Barbara Davis. Also survived by his 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, dear friend, Doreen Howley  and his loving girlfriend, Susanne Pask. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton Tuesday 4 to 8 PM.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, West Quincy Wednesday morning  at 10:30. Interment is private. In Lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute
