Ita Michelle Devine Obituary

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Ita Michelle Devine, 59, unexpectedly on November 27, 2025, at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth, MA. Raised in Milton, she was the cherished daughter of the late John J. and Ita F. Devine. As Executive Administrative Assistant to the President of Mountain One Bank in Rockland, her years of dedication, professionalism and resourcefulness were well-known among her peers.

Beloved mother of Connary Sparrow and Zachary Devine, Michelle’s unwavering devotion to her family was without equal. She treasured her two grandchildren, Arianna and Nathanial Sparrow, who filled her life with incredible joy. Michelle was a doting aunt to her three nieces, Ava, Maeve and her namesake Ita Lynn. She was adored by her brother John and sister Marie, and she held dear the memory of her late sister, Laura Jean.

She is also survived by her sister-in-law Margaret Devine of Weymouth, and MA, and her brother-in-law John Carrigg of Westport, MA and daughter-in-law Nicole Sparrow of Sanford, FL. Michelle's zest for life was evident in her personal interests. Her enthusiasm for sports was well-known among her friends and family, and she could often be found at Players in Rockland, where she enjoyed watching sports events and passing the time with fellow sports fanatics. She had a compassionate soul and offered a shoulder to lean on for those that needed it. She had a keen sense of humor and possessed great comedic timing - especially when sending memes.

Throughout her life, Michelle was a beacon of light and comfort to those who knew her. Her laughter was infectious, and her love for life itself was an inspiration to all. She was the family historian who was relied upon to tell the stories that put faces and places together She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy, characterized by love, dedication, and joy, will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.

“Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.”
