Helen H. Roberts (Hain) passed away peacefully on February 24, 2026. She was the cherished wife of the late William E. Roberts and the daughter of the late James E. Hain and Helen (Alexander) Hain. Her warmth and thoughtful nature touched the lives of all who knew her.
Born and raised with a heart full of dreams, Helen pursued her education with vigor, earning a Bachelor's Degree from Northeastern University. Her dedication to her studies led her to a fulfilling role as Secretary to the Dean at Northeastern University. It was there that she not only honed her professional skills but also built lasting friendships that she treasured throughout her life.
After marrying the love of her life, William, Helen embraced the role of homemaker with grace and enthusiasm. She created a loving home for their children, Scott Roberts of Quincy and Mark Roberts of Ashland. Helen's legacy of love continues through her grandchildren, Brendan Roberts, John "Danny" Roberts, Kathyrn Jacques, Sarah Roberts, and the late Christopher Roberts, as well as her cherished great-grandchild, Eloise Jacques.
Helen's spirit of community was evident in her involvement with the Quincy Senior Center and her devout service to the Union Congregational Church in Wollaston. Her leadership skills shone brightly during her time as the Past Worthy Advisor and as an Active Member of the Mardi Club, where she made significant contributions through her volunteer work.
Her brother, James Hain of Medfield, along with her nieces and nephews, remember Helen for her unwavering support and the joy she brought to family gatherings. She was predeceased by her sister, Marjorie Boobar, but the bond they shared remains an inspiration to all who knew them.
Helen's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and thoughtfulness. She had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel special and valued, a trait that will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of crossing paths with her.
As we bid farewell to Helen H. Roberts, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a legacy of love that will continue to shine in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Her memory will be treasured forever, and her spirit will continue to guide us in the days to come.
