Gloria Weber Obituary

Gloria Weber, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, surrounded by the warmth of her family's love. Gloria was predeceased by her parents, the late Louis and Alice George, and her brothers, the late Charles George and Louis George Jr. Her legacy continues through her loving children: Gloria Jeanne Corey and her husband John of Milton, Chester Weber of Lutz, FL, Deborah Atallah and her husband Fouad of North Easton, and Rachael Weber Sabates and her husband Nelson of Kansas City.

Gloria's life was marked by her loving and thoughtful nature, qualities that everyone around her cherished deeply. Her radiant spirit was cultivated during her formative years at the Woodward School for Girls in Quincy and the Chandler School.

As Miss Quincy in 1950, Gloria's beauty was evident not only on the outside but also shone brightly from within. She began her journey into adulthood with a sense of adventure and a love for life that was infectious. In her early years, Gloria graced the world of fashion as a model, where she captivated many with her elegance and charm-including her first husband, Chet Malin, a devoted Marine and CPA who led a life of service to his country. Tragically, his life was cut short during the polio epidemic.

In time, Gloria met her late husband, Dr. Alfred Weber, whose devotion brought a new chapter of joy into her life. Through Alfred's medical endeavors, the couple traveled to over 50 countries, forming life-long friendships and expanding the global medical community. Gloria's passion for travel and cooking allowed her to explore the world and its myriad of cultures, which she lovingly brought back to her family's table. She created a tapestry of memories centered around meals that will be reminisced upon for generations.

A gifted singer and pianist, Gloria brought joy and harmony to her family, who were fortunate to experience her talents. Beyond her artistic endeavors, she was an active member of the Boston University Women's Club and the Harvard Medical Women's Auxiliary, where she formed lasting friendships and made significant contributions through her involvement.

She instilled in her children and grandchildren the values of love, kindness, and thoughtfulness-virtues she embodied every day of her life. Her legacy of love is carried on by her eight grandchildren: John Corey III, Christopher Corey, Jenna Worcester, Stephanie Richison, Tiffany Travers, Nelson Sabates, Olivia Sabates, and Spencer Sabates. Her memory will also be cherished by her four great-grandchildren: Kinsley Corey, Tyler, Wesley, and Isabelle Richison, who will continue to grow in the glow of her memory.

The world has lost a woman of remarkable warmth and generosity. Her life was a testament to the power of love and the beauty of a life well-lived. She was a woman who not only modeled clothes but also modeled a life of grace, compassion, and unwavering kindness. She was everyone's favorite Nana and delighted in participating in her grandchildren's many activities. Gloria's spirit, her love for life, and her dedication to her family and friends will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

As we bid farewell to Gloria Weber, we celebrate a life that was truly a gift to all who knew her. Her memory will be treasured in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were touched by her gentle soul. Rest in peace to our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Gloria. Your legacy of love lives on.
