Glen Robert Cunningham of Milton, Ma passed away peacefully on September 8, 2022 at the age of 67. Glen was born on February 8, 1955 to the late Lawrence Cunningham and Pauline (Novak). Glen grew up in Groveland, Mass and enjoyed spending time with family in Jefferson, ME. Glen was a member the Pentucket Regional’s class of 1973 where many lifelong friendships were created. During his high school years Glen excelled in wrestling, soccer, football, and track & field, specifically the shot put where records are still in place and banners hang high with his name and his many state championships, titles, and scholastics.
Glen then studied briefly at Plymouth State University in New Hampshire, continuing to set sports records in addition to playing football. After freshman year, Glen transferred to the University of Maine at Farmington where he eventually met, the love of his life Kathy French who was also studying at UMaine. Glen, continued playing college football and soccer and graduated in 1977 with a bachelor’s of science in special education, high honors. Glen then obtained his master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) at Boston’s Suffolk University, class of 1980.
Kathy and Glen moved to Massachusetts and were married in Boston on October 11, 1980, and haven’t left each other’s side since. The two went on to have three children, Christopher, Kelly Ann, and Samantha where they resided in Milton for over 25 years. Glen welcomed in two son-in-laws, Joshua Kurz and David Shea Jr. Glen is also the beloved Grampa of Nijah, Winston, David III, Derrick, Rosiegrace, and Dallas who will miss grandpa at every single birthday, holiday, and get together.
Glen worked in business administration for Child Development Inc. for over 25 years. He was a lifelong Patriots fan, and a 4th degree Knights of Columbus member.
For his many names, Glen, dad, Glenny, Grandpa, Mr. Cunningham, Mr. C, you will be greatly missed and are loved by so many including nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, but we have so many memories, pictures, stories, events, songs, and dad-isms to carry us through.

Visiting Hours from the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral home, 326 Granite Ave. Milton on Thursday night, September 15th from 5pm to 8pm. Funeral on Friday, September 16th at 10am followed by a service at Cedar Grove Chapel at 11. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited.
