Gertrude M. “Trudy” Cook (Crowley) of Middleboro, formerly of Quincy passed away December 27th at home surrounded by her loving family. Born and raised in Quincy, she graduated from North Quincy High School. She worked for many years as a Legal Secretary for Judge Ashton Mulhal in Quincy and later for Fleming and Langlois in Quincy and most recently for Gaughan, Gaughan, and Lane in Weymouth before retiring. Trudy has lived in Middleboro for the last 17 years and previously in Quincy where she was an active parishioner at St. Mary’s Church in W. Quincy. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and family, traveling and going to the casinos.
Beloved wife for 48 years of Kevin V. Cook (retired Quincy PD). Mother of Kevin P. Cook (Boston PD) and his wife Tricia of Quincy, Gregory E. Cook and his partner Jeremy Corb of Whitman, and Heather M. Goodwin and her husband Sean of Sanbornton, N.H. Grandmother of Ava Cook, Lila Cook, Nicholas Cook, Shannon Goodwin, Patrick Goodwin, and Brendan Goodwin. Sister of Dianne Carroll of Middleboro, Paula Ayer of Quincy, Anna McGuinness of ME, Paul Crowley (retired Mass SP) of Hanson and the late Jane DeBartolo. Daughter of the late Paul and May Crowley.
Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Friday 3:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Church W. Quincy Saturday morning at 10:30. Burial at Canton Corner Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Trudy’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.
