Gail Dwyer Obituary

Gail M. Dwyer, of Milton, formerly of Dorchester passed away peacefully on December 14th at the age of 77. Gail was the loving daughter of the late Thomas J. Dwyer and Margaret (Conlon) of Boston Ma. Beloved sister of the late Thomas E. Dwyer , Albert “Albie” Dwyer and Jane Dwyer-Ryan, all of Dorchester. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Gail was also survived by the families of Susan Warsheski. Gail leaves behind many friends at the Unquity House, the Parkway Methodist Church and the Milton Council of the Aging. A special thanks to her personal caregiver Michelene.

Gail was a graduate of Quincy Vocational Technical High School and went on to Cardinal Cushing School in Hanover. Gail had many jobs, her first was at a shoe manufacturing and retail store in Lower Mills, Dorchester in the mid 1960's. She also worked at Bradlees retail store, Star Market and at Boston University where her mother worked.

Gail took the MBTA to and from most of her jobs and knew her way around Dorchester and Milton like the back of her hand. After her mom passed Gail found a "new home" at the Parkway United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, volunteered, joined bible study, and attended many Sunday lunches. Gail volunteered at the Milton Community Food Pantry, and joined in with the activities at the Milton Council of the Aging. She was happiest volunteering and listening to the music at the summer concerts at the Gazebo on the Town Green in front of the Milton Town Hall. Gail's true family were her friends at the Unquity House in Milton. She loved the activities, coffee in the cafe, Thursday night dinners and helping out wherever she could.

Everyone in the town of Milton knew Gail, with her happy go lucky personality, she was a ray of sunshine.
