Francis Edward “Skipper” Lydon of Plymouth. Loving husband of Deborah A. Lydon and dad of his pup, Lily Olivia. Son of the late Francis S. and Eileen T. Lydon of Jamaica Plain. Brother of Catherine M. Lydon Rideout and Eileen T. Lydon of Randolph. Loving brother-in-law, son-in-law and nephew. Owner of Lydon Tours and Travel Agency, he was an avid traveler and enjoyed his many cruises. He was a fifty year employee of Bank of America, a Plymouth Town Meeting Member and community leader of many endeavors of the various communities he represented.
Kind and generous uncle to many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Cousin to many and friend to those whom had the pleasure of knowing him as a genuinely “nice guy”. Proud godfather to Matthew Daniel Malloy and Paige Elizabeth Haggerty.
He will be sorely missed in this world. His smile, kindness, friendship and memories of his growing up in his “JP” always resulted in funny stories, as he enjoyed telling of his antics. Rest in Peace my love, partner and friend.
A celebration of Frank’s life will be held at the Common Market in Quincy after his Mass on Saturday, January 6, 2024. Please join his family to share memories of him. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the joy that was Frank, Skipper, than to send him to his Heavenly reward with family and friends and the music he loved.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to PBS TV, the St. Jude Foundation, Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s and LBD.
