Evelyn M. “Evey” MacDonald (Green) of Abington passed away at the Dwyer Home in Weymouth February 11th. Born and raised in Boston, she attended Dorchester High for Girls. Evey was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and was a member of the Red Hat Society, O’Lindy’s Bowling League in Quincy, enjoyed Yoga and was an avid Red Sox Fan.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph E. Mother of Kathleen M. MacDonald of FL, Kevin J. MacDonald of Weymouth, Brian D. MacDonald of Braintree, Joseph E. MacDonald, Jr. of NH, Dennis J. MacDonald of Plymouth, Cynthia M. Walsh of Rockland, Darron T. MacDonald of Braintree, and Amy E. Dooley of Abington. Sister of the late William Green, Dorothy Fredey, Alice Trainer, John Green, Joseph Green, Donald Green Thomas Green, and Robert Green. Also survived by 23 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave, Milton Thursday from 4-8 pm. Due to the current Covid 19 restrictions only 20 guests will be allowed within the funeral home at once, masks are required and guests should bring their own pens to sign the register book. Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 856 Washington St. Braintree, Friday morning at 10. Burial Braintree Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Assn at www.alz.org.
