Ellen T. Crowley (Lyons), passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, the late John "Jack" Crowley BPD, her sister Katherine Lawlor, and her brother James Lyons. Ellen's memory will be cherished by her nephew Christopher Lawlor of Dorchester, her niece Mary Frances Stenson, her husband John of Milton, her niece Kathy McSweeney of Milton, and her nephews Kevin Lyons of Hingham and James Lyons of Kingston.
Born and raised in Dorchester, Ellen was a proud graduate of Cardinal Cushing High School. She furthered her education at New Hampshire College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Services. Ellen's caring nature was evident in her long and distinguished career at Boston City Hospital in the Chemistry Lab. It was there where she forged lifelong friendships and ensured the most efficiently run chemistry lab in the city.
At a young age her adventurous spirit was undeniable. She was an avid downhill skier, gracefully gliding down the slopes of New Hampshire's White Mountains with her beloved DoSoCha Ski House. Summers found Ellen in her happy place, soaking up the sun and the serene beauty of Cape Cod, particularly Hyannisport, which held a special place in her heart.
Those who knew Ellen will recall a woman who was the embodiment of love and kindness. Her warm smile and generous spirit were her trademarks, and her ability to make everyone around her feel valued and loved was truly remarkable. She held a dear place in her heart for her grand nieces, nephews, her cousins Marian Walsh, Richard Walsh and her care takers Sandy, Remi and Jeanne who have become dear friends.
Ellen's journey through life was a testament to the beauty of a life well-lived, and she will be deeply missed by all.
