Elena Georgieva Stoeva, age 43, passed away January 28th after battling cancer for 7 months. Born and raised in Sofia, Bulgaria she immigrated to the United States in 2001. Elena earned her MBA from UMass/Boston and worked as an accountant for 5 years before pursuing her passion of art. She enrolled in Massachusetts College of Art and design and earned her BA in Fine Arts while delivering her son Kaius Lurvey in her final year. She was a talented artist and owned and operated her own Business, Paint With Me Boston which grew dramatically during the pandemic, you could frequently find Elena joining your home via ZOOM providing painting instruction.
Elena loved to travel and visiting new places, especially museums. She was an avid skier and was even a ski instructor while living in Bulgaria. She passed her passion for skiing onto her son who equally enjoys the sport. Elena loved animals and also fostered cats along with her husband for the MSPCA for sometime. She was very active and enjoyed walking or just being out in nature.

Loving daughter of Georgi and Tanya Stoevi and Niece of Krasi and Toni Stoevi and Krasi and Katya Shamliev granddaughter of Ivan Shamliev. Relatives and friends invited to attend a Funeral Service at the South Congregational Church 1075 Washington St. Braintree Friday morning at 11:00 with burial to follow at Milton Cemetery.
