Edward J. Smith

Edward J. Smith of Milton Passed away February 24th.  Born in Boston, he was raised in Mattapan and graduated from Boston Latin High School and served in the Air Force during the Korean War. Edward attended Northeastern University and graduated from New England School of Law.   He was an attorney who was in Private Practice for many years and later for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 10 years before retiring.  Ed was a fanatical Red Sox and Patriot’s Fan and enjoyed golfing and travel.  Beloved husband of the late Catherine (McCarthy).  Father of Daniel E. Smith of Norwood.  Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Monday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm due to the forecasted weather on Tuesday the Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary of the Hills Church, Milton Wednesday morning at 10:00.  Burial Old Calvary Cemetery.
