Paulo (Cortnee) and his beloved granddaughter, Peyton Paulo and expected grandson, Declan Dominic Paulo. He is also survived by his mother Helen L. Batiste and his stepfather, Robert L. Batiste, Jr. (Kerry) of Billerica, and several nieces and nephews. Dominic was born in Boston to the late Dominic R. Paulo and Helen L. (Hannon) Batiste. Dominic and his wife, Patricia, lived in South Weymouth, a town Dominic loved. Dominic’s greatest joy was participating in Weymouth town activities. Always a book lover, Dominic proudly served as a member of the Board of Library Trustees for the new Tufts Library, and prior to his illness he was looking forward to serving on the State Advisory Council on Libraries and on the Weymouth Town Culture Committee. Dominic was a kind and caring man, and this is evidenced by his lifelong commitment to the challenged and disenfranchised with whom he worked for many years. Funeral arrangements are in the care of the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Avenue, Milton, MA 02186. Visiting hours are 4-8 Thursday, May 27. A funeral mass will be held at 10am on Friday, May 28, 2021 at St. Mary’s of the Hills Catholic Church, 29 St. Mary’s Rd., Milton, MA followed by internment at Milton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dominic’s name to Father Bill’s Place would be greatly appreciated.
