Deborah M. Elisio (née Lynes), affectionately known as Debbi, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. Debbi was a graduate of Milton High School and spent over 40 years in the services industry and recently retired.
Debbi was born to the late Edward and Evelyn (Zaia) Lynes and later grew to have a dear relationship with her late step father Bob Chase. Debbi grew into a woman whose life was a testament to love, hard work and generosity. Her late husband, Antonio "Tony" P. Elisio, was her partner in both love and life, and together they created a legacy of warmth and family fun. She was a loving and caring mother to Christina Walorz and her husband Kevin of Medfield, and to Jessica Elisio of Plymouth. The joy of her life was her grandchildren, Allison, Natalee, and Skye whom she adored.
Debbi was a beloved sister to Edward Lynes and his wife Cindy of Needham, Steven Lynes and his wife Janie of Hudson, NH, and Thomas Lynes of Milton. Her brothers held a special place in her heart, from regular lunches to sharing laughter, many phone calls and humor. She was also a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews who will fondly remember her kindness and quick wit.
Her in-laws, Liz and Tony Chaves of Taunton, Irene Ferrera and late husband David of Somerset, Albert Gee and late wife Ana of Somerset,Marylou Freeman and Scott Correia of Westport, Joe Elisio and late wife Maria of Taunton, the late Paula Penney of Taunton, Joyce DiNinno of South Easton and Manny Elisio of St. Michael Azores, survive her. They, along with the rest of her family, will miss her deeply.
Debbi's interests were as varied as they were joyous. She was an avid fan of the Boston Bruins, and she found great pleasure in going to the casino, playing lottery tickets, watching soap operas, musicals or SVU and Chuck Norris. Often times you would find her blaring Cher or Shania Twains latest CD in her car as she traveled around town completing her daily activities. Her love for animals was profound, especially for her cats, and she was often found indulging in her favorite foods, mostly sweets and baked goods. She was happiest in her comfy clothes including her oversized sweatshirts and jackets. Additionally, she had a love for cars of any make, model or year. Debbi's voice was a familiar occurrence on the phone, where she would spend hours in conversation with everyone she knew.
A familiar face at the Quincy YMCA, Debbi enjoyed swimming and participating in water aerobics and physical therapy. The holidays were a special time for her, as she reveled in the festivities and the opportunity to spend time with family.
Debbi's work ethic was unparalleled, and she was always dedicated to her endeavors. She was a giver, always finding ways to support and nurture others, even when she had little to give herself. Her children were the center of her world, and she loved them endlessly. Debbi took great delight in spoiling her grandchildren and craved their attention, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Debbi's life was a living example of the words that best describe her: loving, kind, and selfless. She will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family, her infectious laughter, and her ability to bring light into the lives of all who knew her.
As we bid farewell to Deborah M. Elisio, we celebrate the extraordinary woman she was and the indelible impact she made on our lives. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, and her memory will forever be etched in our hearts.
