David S. Figueiredo

David Scott Figueiredo died peacefully surrounded by his family at Boston Medical Center SICU after a sudden complication as he battled cancer. Dave was born November 29th 1957 in Cohasset, Massachusetts and graduated from Norfolk Agricultural High School. He went on to become an Irrigator and ran his own Irrigation business for many years and after semi-retirement he found enjoyment in his role in the catering department of Brothers Marketplace. Dave was a life-long learner, with a quick-silver mind who had varied interests and was always slightly ahead of his time. He had a wide variety of unique hobbies that included boating, snowmobiling, aquarium design, candle making, operating a homemade distillery, and his videography that delighted and amused friends and family. Dave married his soulmate Nancy (Flynn) Figueiredo (of Quincy, MA) in 1990 and together with their two children David Jr. (DJ) and Jamie Elizabeth, created an idyllic home on the ocean in Houghs Neck. The majority of his time was spent with his family whether it was being on the water, ski trips up north, 4th of July in Unity, Maine, or traveling any chance they got to new and interesting places. Predeceased by his brother Donald (Ricky) Figueiredo, is survived by his sisters Carolyn Gaul and Betsy Hilton (Jim), and his cousin Paul Figueiredo.

Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Friday from 4:00 to 7:00.  Funeral Mass at Most Blessed Sacrament Church 1031 Sea St. Quincy Saturday morning at 10:00.  Burial private.
